We at Pacific Breast Care are leaders in the California — and Dr. Police is the national leader as an individual surgeon — in the clinical trial of Dune Medical Devices' MarginProbe. Our patients benefit from the use of this device, which can evaluate lumpectomy margins in real time in the operating room. This saves patients from returning to the operating room for re-excisions, which happens 30 percent to 40 percent of the time nationally, adds significantly to the cost of breast cancer surgery and is an emotional drain on patients. This device is the future of breast cancer surgery in evaluating margins and it also can be used on specimens removed in mastectomies. The device's application for other types of cancer is being explored. We are honored to be a part of this exciting clinical trial.

Dr. Yvette Price has a strong background in diagnostic radiology and breast imaging, a residency in radiology at Los Angeles County-King Drew Medical Center and a fellowship in breast imaging at UCLA Medical Center. She is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist. Dr. Alice Police attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her residency in surgery at USC School of Medicine and the UC Irvine School of Medicine. She is board certified in general surgery and is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
Having a fellowship-trained breast imaging specialist and a breast surgeon in the same office simplifies the process for patients, making Pacific Breast Care a "one stop shop" to provide for their breast health needs. Working together, our physicians are able to expedite procedures, including offering same day biopsies with results delivered within 48 hours.
Under the leadership of Dr. Police, the Pacific Breast Care's certified technologists, nurses and support staff members believe in providing the best care to their patients, most of whom are in an especially stressful point in their lives.
