About Us

At Pacific Breast Care we are the site leader in the state of California and Dr. Police is the national leader as an individual surgeon in the Dune Medical Devices MarginProbe clinical trial enrollment. Our patients have benefited from a device that can evaluate lumpectomy margins in real time in the operating room. We have saved patients from having to return to the operating room for re-excisions. This happens 30 to 40 percent of the time nationally and is a big problem for the patients on an emotional level and adds significantly to the cost of breast cancer surgery. This device is the future of breast cancer surgery as far as margin evaluation and can also be used on mastectomy specimens. Applications for other types of cancer are being explored. We are honored to be a part of this exciting clinical trial.

With an equal focus on prevention, detection and treatment, Dr. Frye and Dr. Police of Pacific Breast Care pride themselves on providing the most comprehensive solution in Orange County that is solely dedicated to breast health services. In addition to diagnostic and surgical procedures, the facility operates a high-risk clinic, where women under 40 can undergo genetic testing and counseling, as well as receive an individual prevention strategy based on family history, clinical background and lifestyle.

Dr. Lynda Frye has a strong background in diagnostic Radiology, having completed her residency in radiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center and then moving on to a fellowship in breast imaging and intervention at UCLA. She is Board Certified in radiology and a member of the society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Alice Police attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her residency in surgery at USC School of Medicine and the UC Irvine School of Medicine. She is Board Certified in General Surgery and is a member of the American society of Breast Surgeons.

Together, they opened Pacific Breast Care in January 2008. Having a fellowship trained breast imager and a breast surgeon in the same office simplifies the process for patients, because the facility becomes a “one stop shop” for a patients breast health needs. Their collaborative approach allows them to expedite procedures, including offering same day biopsies with results delivered within forty eight hours.

The leadership and skills that Dr. Frye and Dr. Police have brought to this partnership also extends to all of their certified technologists, nurses and support staff, they believe in providing the best care to their patients, especially at such a stressful point in their lives. In order to provide the best care, the skills of their staff and their training is ongoing, but without the appropriate tools, you can never achieve the best results.
